Youth
Baby and Toddler Story Time
Join Annika, the Youth Services Librarian, to sing, rhyme, read, and dance alongside your little ones. Afterwards, stay for social interaction, sensory exploration and playtime. The Baby & Toddler Story Time program features 15 minutes of songs and movement, a story, and 45 minutes of sensory play, process art, and gross motor exploration. This experience is designed for children ages 0-2, accompanied by participating caregivers. We will be on the Library Lawn or in the Community Room. Please register all participants.
Preschool Story Time
Join Kat for Preschool Story Time with stories, early literacy activities and games. Ages 3 to 5. Registration required.
Full Steam Ahead
Be part of our monthly adventure exploring the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics! Bridge engineering, Rube Goldberg machines, upcycled art projects, LEGO electronics, chemistry and mousetrap race cars are just some of the things participants can look forward to! Mark your calendars and join us for a series of captivating experiences that will inspire and amaze! Ages 8 and up. Registration required.
Youth Chess Club
Do you love chess, want to improve, or just want to learn how to play? Join Kat and Daniel at the library every first and third Friday of the month to play others in friendly games of chess. Boards and pieces are provided by the library. This program is for youth players only; ages 6-18. All levels of play are welcome!
Builders Club
Builders Club is an exciting and imaginative space for young children to unleash their creativity and engineering skills through exploratory play with various building materials. This club aims to foster a love for hands-on learning and problem-solving while encouraging social interaction and teamwork among kids. It provides a safe and supportive environment where kids can experiment, construct, and bring their imaginative ideas to life using a wide array of building materials, including LEGOs, KEVA planks, cardboard bricks, connector sets, magnets, and more! Ages 4 and up (recommended 4-10 years old); registration required.
Master Builders Club
Love your Builders Club, but wish it was a bit…. more? Step it up, and step into, a world of creativity and innovation with our new Master Builders Club! Designed for kids interested in venturing further into the world of robotics and engineering, this unstructured-play club offers exciting activities, from 3D printing and robotics to LEGO sculptures and KEVA plank challenges. Foster problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork as your children tinker, build, and create in this dynamic space. Join us for a journey of exploration and inspiration, where young minds thrive and curiosity knows no bounds! Ages 6 and up; registration required.
Take Home Kits for Kids
Pick up a craft kit designed for children to make at home every other Saturday. All kids craft kits enhance STEAM skills and make a fun, entertaining project.
